Dear Colleague,

With today’s new reality of social distancing and local government restrictions, I would like to cordially invite you to connect virtually and learn from world-renowned clinicians in the comfort of your own home or dental practice. The Anacapa Dental Art Institute has partnered with the Keystone Dental Group (KDG) to create the KDG Vanguard | Anacapa Virtual Study Club.

The lecture content is based on science and designed to give you practical insights that you can incorporate into your dental practice. The series of topics range from implant dentistry, to tooth supported restorations, digital workflows, and other contemporary topics.

The KDG Vanguard | Anacapa Virtual Study Club is open to dentist throughout the world. We look forward to welcoming you on this “one of a kind” virtual learning platform where we provide you live or on-demand access to well-respected thought leaders in our field.

Improving implant restorations in everyday clinical practice - Aesthetically, biomechanically and biologically

This webinar will discuss techniques developed through an understanding of material science, which can assist the clinician and improve both the quality and longevity of the implant restoration.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Benefits of anodization related to soft tissues – how the implant/abutment may benefit from this surface modification – biologically and esthetically
  2. Why the implant abutment connection is vital to success – how micromovement, increased bacterial contamination, screw deformation all likely start with when a screw joint fails through loss of screw preload
  3. The importance of correct use of implant toque wrenches and tightening techniques to prevent and limit preload loss
  4. New devices that improve a dentists capability to optimize the implant abutment joint

Bio:

Chandur Wadhwani holds faculty positions at the University of Washington and Loma Linda University Dental Schools as an Assistant Professor in Prosthodontics and at Oregon Health Sciences University as Associate Professor in Periodontics. He is internationally renowned as a speaker and researcher and was named the American College of Prosthodontics, “Distinguished Lecturer in 2018” for his work and dedication. His work is 100% practical and can be used clinically to improve implant outcomes.
